Awadh

My blog usually describes larger than life issues, but someone once said, "God lies in small things", so i have followed suit in this blog this time. Amir Khan would love to read such stuff after I described his stuff bogus in last blog.

I was traveling to Kota by the one & only 'Awadh Express'. I settled for a sleeper birth due to 'financial crisis' which has hit me too...And gosh, the sleeper is no more a sleeper in 'Awadh', its worse than general...

Let me start with the arrival. It was late by 40 mins. And came on platform no. 6 instead of 4, so the last minute 'Cooligiri' made me Coolie no. 1 with 2 heavy bags on my shoulder. Somehow we all reached the platform no.6, but there was no display of coach no. and when the train arrived , everyone just entered haphazardly to any coach they could get in. So, I had to settle for S-11 instead of S-6. Now u can imagine the scene that must have happened where everyone was finding their Coach inside the train. Moreover, our Lalu Ji has introduced a new birth on the RAC seats, which has increased the no. of seats. But implementation is so poor that the old no.'s & new no.'s are put over each other with no clue even to TT, which no. is right. And u must believe this , my seat was changed , by the sole discretion of TT. No Questions asked !

After the 'allotment' , I found a gay uncle who made me feel so uncomfortable that I had to literally disclose my unpleasant condition to the TT, who affirmed me that the 'Gay Uncle' will leave in 1hr on the next station.

Once he got out, i thought to relax, but in came the 'Gaanv Walas" and in big no.'s. TT was approached for the mishap, but well TT is God, and God is always right. So he said they will not disturb you and went away. And then at 12 midnight, they started their radios, which had all 'B' grade movies songs, ringing right in my head till 3 a.m.

And one phenomena which surprises me even as i am writing this, was why 'CHAAY' walas were there till 3 a.m. Somehow with all kinds of war of words, peace creeped in at 3, and a unanimous stand was taken to "SLEEP"...

It was 5.25 A.M. ..train reached some station & bang they came....." CHAAY CHAAY ".....& they never stopeed after that till 2.40 P.M when i reached Kota...

So the sleep was gone...and no way u can sleep after 6 am in a awadh, mind u! So here comes the most interesting part...The Mela....What was not available in Awadh...Let me jot down the food items...

19. Ice Creams ( Various Varieties )....and the list goes on...i cant remember them all u see...

And of Course.........................CHAAY.......................

Apart from food items, you could find keychains, soaps, shoe polish, Chudiya, Mehandis, Books, & what not...even beggars...

I made friends...played 'Taash'...exchanged jokes, and learned loads of "Marketing" tips from all those brilliant sellers..i could see economy moving with courageous sales people out there...

I was stuffed with food.....and food for thought!

Well tell u what, if you want to attend this mela...u wont regret the lost sleep after all !

There Is Enough Out There

My Blogs dont usually have a micro approach..and i dont really like writing about my personal issues like Aamir khan describing his vacations etc..That's not what a blog should intend to do..

So i choose a topic which i believe has a wider or macro range, and which has the power to impact & challenge the ground we stand on...So i write things which challenge the existing systems and how they should be if we all start thinking rationally.

There is Enough out There

I was watching this documentary "Secret" and was stunned by it for some time. The documentary suggests that one should always think positively and ask /dream about his desires to the "Universe" which for some people is "God". The Universe will respond & ur dream will be fulfilled, if u act upon the 'chances' and grab opportunities. In other words, u must grab opportunity coz the "HOW" will be determined by the Universe, however you must at on the 'How'...So here are the steps

1. Ask & be positive & determined

2. Act  ( when u see the opportunity ) The opportunity is the "How"

Now so far the documentary was sounding 'ok' to me, but i thought they will not consider the angle of " if everybody does that "...But they did cover it also..

So what does that mean? If everybody starts asking in the 'secret' way , will everybody get the opportunity to be successful? And the answer is a big "YES".

Yes, There is enough out there. Lets talk about money? Is it enough out there for everyone to be rich? Well to your surprise, "YES". Lets see a simple example. if there are 100 people in an economy, how all 100 can be rich.

Lets start with an assumption that 40 people are rich while 60 of them poor. These 40 people are rich coz all of them have 40 shops; 1 shop each which caters a product to 99 people. These poor 60 people are poor coz they also consume the 40 products, and they have lesser incomes coz they are working under these 40 rich people. Now if all poor people reduce their consumption of 40 products to say 20 products, they start saving. Also, they must innovate and bring new products to the market, and have a shop of their own. In case some of the 100 people must continue to do jobs and not have their businesses, they must negotiate a higher salary.

Although its a complicated economic system in reality, the idea is that everybody can be rich, if he desires to be one.

There is enough out there for everyone...Just Grab It! 

The New Economic System

Taxation is a flaw in an economic system, that can be rooted out permanently in a phased manner. Adam Smith & David Smith would agree, that Capitalism is the best way, an economy should be run. The GOI should stop taking tax...Hmm...how will they run their operations then? what are their operations anyways? Some grants, running PSU's, Infrastructure expenses, Subsidies, etc...Well here is Kaku's suggfestions....Disinvest all PSU's, stop subsidies, create database of "COI" circle of interdependence and Jobs..Make more & more entrepreneurs..Stop Grants, make more & more NGO's...and if u feel there are some businesses like railways, which cannot be given in private hands...then retain them with you....but Run the Govt as a COMPANY, to be traded in Stock market, whcih keeps a close watch on the performance of the company... Now, since i allow you to retain some activities, how do u do them, without taking tax....Since your revenues are lesser than expenses, in running, say railways (just an example), make it innovative & make profits out of it...This can be done, as shown under lalu yadav...if not possible, the RBI can lend you some money, which will be a deficit that you face. When RBI gives u some money, the same amount has to be reduced by RBI in its Money supply target... Although many structural changes will be required, here is the biggest of them all....DISSOLVE the government, & stop DEMOCRACY.......The way in which IIM's IIT's IAS examination are conducted, the Goverment should be run by people who go through a exam of such kind, followed by training of the candidates in Political Science, Sociology & Economics for at least 5 years, and should undergo practical training for 3 yeras, before they can assume office.........Such refined talent, ruling the country will be far better than these elected morons!!!

Degrees Of Exploration - Till Evolution?

We ask questions in our day to day lives, millions of them...We get answers to many of them. Thanks to Google these days, we get more answers, answers to questions which we cannot even dare to ask anyone!

So let us take an example-

Father & Son are going for a walk. The boy asks father-

What is this building pops?
Ans. It’s a bank, son

Whats a Bank?
Ans. A bank is a place where ppl put their savings and withdraw when they need them

Whats saving?
Ans. Savings is the money left after making expenses out of your income?

Whats income?
Ans. Income is the money earned after doing a job.

So ppl do job to earn money and then they spend and save…They must make sure that their income is more than expenses…So that they have enough savings for their retirement…But dad, where does bank get its money from?
Ans. The Bank makes money according to the requirement of money in the economy…..It cannot make more than permitted..otherwise it will cause the prices to rise, since more money will chase fewer items….

Got that Dad..But how does the govt decide on the amount of money in the economy?
Ans. Oh God! U ask so many ques…Go to your Uncle..He has done PG in Economics…

The Boy goes to uncle and asks about the money supply in the economy….
Ans. Uncle says that the supply of money should actually depend upon the production of goods & services in the economy, but since no Government in the world can actually evaluate the total production, it ends up churning out more or less than required.

So Uncle Bob, do u mean to say that its because of this mismanagement of money supply, we see an increase or decrease in prices…I mean Inflation.
Ans. Oh Yes, my child, its because of this mismanagement, if people have more money, and production is less, the prices will go higher, coz the seller will give the goods to sone from whom he can fetch more.. But dear child, its not only demand & supply of goods & services that define money supply in trhe economy, there are other minor factors also….

What are they?
Ans. Hmmm…..they are there, but for u to understand them, u need to grow a little more..I will surely explain u those factors, after 5 years…

That’s not fair Uncle!....Ok tell me how these shirts are made….
Ans. See, there u are, I will explain u a few things about it, but u will take me to the evolution point…Since I am an economist, I wont be able to tell u the chemistry behind the production of clothes…

What do u mean? I want to understand everything in this world..
Ans. Wait a minute child…This world is huge!!…Its enormous….Right from atom to the universe, this world has seen crore years of history, having billions of stories, and billions of “starts and ends”…..The world u see today, itself has, crores of phenomenon lying, some explored, others unexplored….You have a limited no. of years, you will not be able to solve these mysteries…plz dnt try to…Choose your field, the dimension of life you like and enjoy the limited years you have…Don’t ever tell me this “larger than life” stuff…Be the best in the field you choose…Coz that is the way this life is..It doesn’t allow you to do everything, it should not…It makes you a part in its game plan, and allows you to chose the arena…sometimes restricts you to a few choices…But at the end, you must understand the big picture, and be the best in the life you choose…..

The point is, don’t try to explore each and everything to the last details…Explore everything to certain level, leave the rest to the world. The world might have explored the stuff, and if not, it will….

The Exploration to Evolution should be done only of a select few themes of the dimension you chose! For other phenomenon, You should limit your Degrees Of Exploration

The Boy listened to Uncle carefully and after a while asked,

And the answer of Uncle was silent, composed and firm,

The World is Strong to Weak & Vice Versa

I was previlegged to study in SP jain institute, where i completed my SYB course last year in Feb...One of our faculties, Mr. Parimal Merchant who took our finance sessions, gave us a golden mantra of life..."The World is Strong to Weak AND Weak to Strong"....

It toook me sometime to understand what he meant with this quote..He gave an example..."when a dog barks at you, and you fear the dog, and run , he becomes stronger and you- Weaker!....Lesson- when you showed weakness, he became strong....

On the other hand, if you would have chosen to "not fear" rather react in an attacking manner, and showed him a stone, it would have turned the tables...The dog would have not even barked, and would have taken a U turn!....Lesson- when you showed strength, the dog became weak...

In the first case, "The world was strong to weak" and in the second "The world was weak to strong"....

This golden phrase has turned my thinking forever...I have found its applicability in every walk of life...Its everywhere!

Its an important phenomena of life! And its worth sharing with my audience....

Close ones to me, already know my belief in this quote, and now i wish to let all others know this phenomena...

The Big Plan is needed....Right Now

Its been continuous bad experiences these days...Ppl killing each other...for all those 4 old lusts----money, power, fair lady and ego....

wacthed a documentary on mass killings, from Hitler to Idi Amin to Saddam to Bush to Osama....Its the same story everywhere....The 4 old lusts remain common to all crimes and inhuman activities...

But today was even worse, v near to our residence, a woman was burned with her child by her "Sasural" walas, again for the sake of some money !! The child somehow was saved but the lady died...

Where, when & how will this all end I wonder...Somehow i feel so down that i dont have any power bestowed upon me to save humanity....Crimes happenning every second...As i write this mail, 100 girls would have been raped, 50 ppl murdered, 10 housewives burnt, 100's of children died out of hunger..An dthat also in only 1 city, where i stay....At the same time , 1000's of rich ppl might have returned home from a social gathering where they shared drinks and passed comments on Sachin's retiring issue, or criticising every nook & cranny of their fucked up surroundings....

My mind is spinning like a race horse....We need die hard Economists, Philosophers and Scientists to take a snapshot of today and collectively come up with a Action Plan to save this fucked up world soon...A comprehensive plan needs to be in place if we were to make things orderly by AD 2200....

Or else we would live a disastrous life and leave a much worse condition for our children to just fuck and die......

The Motivators

I planned a different blog, but this one has sprouted with positive mails of appreciation from friends close to me....

i believe there r 3 kinds of motivators, Positive Reinforcers (PR) and Negative Reinforcers (NR) & High degree Negative Reinforcers...PR's r the ones, in which one does an act, in order to gain sth, whereas NR's r the ones, in which one does an act in order to avoid a loss. High degree NR's r the ones in which one does sth, coz if thats not done, he is dead or in deep trouble....

In my case, its the HNR's which have sprouted due to Circumstances in my life, which have definitely not been normal....And i believe, as i hope all would agree, its these tough Circumstances, which makes or breaks anyone, otherwise one lives a normal life...Its the high tides, which makes one rise or fall, & whether one rises or falls, boils down to his inner strength and character...

So i dont think everyone can become a Hero, its first the Circumstances, then comes the chance to become a Hero or Zero....In simple words, all dont get HNR's to do big things in life, and those who get, must have the character & inner strenth....
